“Bottomup” captures the heart of the organisation, a philosophy of development which is inspired by an understanding of organic growth. Like a simple seed which when it submits to the soil finds roots and begins emerging from the ground, so also social development should begin within the soil of the community, discover its roots and grow from the bottom-upward.

Bottomup was birthed out of the collective vision and passion of its diverse and trained board of directors. The passion is to bring hope, life and love to community, and is so doing to make significant strides in empowering children, youth and community.

Bottomup is a young and ambitious learning organization, valuing service and integrity. We enjoy integrating our knowledge with indigenous ideas to create meaningful solutions. Bottomup is affay with the world of social media and new modes of communication in this fastly growing millennial generation and seeks to harness such potential for the good of the community.
